What does this error mean?
This happened on an idle server, not sure why there would be any internal errors.
Courier version courier-0.42.2.20030527, under linux.
I didn't see any other error indications in the log.
A search of the Courier source does not find any occurence of any similar message. Since you did not post the actual log, instead choosing to paraphrase it, the most likely explanation is that Courier logged an error message from a remote mail server
In which case you need to forward this question to the remote mail server's administrator.
