Is it possible to run any of the courier programs as a non-root user?
I have tried setting the -user= option in couriertcpd to user 'mail',
but when connecting to port 110 get this error:
authdaemon: s_connect() failed: Permission denied
I have made certain that all directory which are read are owned and
writable by user 'mail'. Is there something which I am forgetting?
In terms or system security, how important is this?
thanks,
hank
