Try this in your .muttrc file:

set folder=~/Maildir
set spoolfile=~/Maildir
set postponed=+.Postponed
set record=+.Sent
set mbox=+.Received
set mask=^\\.
mailboxes ! +.Technical.Courier-IMAP +.Technical.Whatever

..it should be enough to get you started.
