Well, Neither I nor Speakeasy.net has been able to come up with a good answer regarding the frequent "Connection timed out" log messages being reported by couriersmtpd.
I'm not using any blackhole lists directly through courer, although I do have spamassassin integrated in a system-wide maildrop filter. Could delays in spamassassin processing (possibly due to a misconfiguration of spamassassin) be the cause of connection timeouts in couriersmtpd? I had assumed that couriersmtpd would accept the message before invoking the system-wide maildrop filter, but I could easily be wrong. I will try to remove spamassassin from my system-wide filter for a short period to determine if that is the cause of the problems. But any insight into how the mail handling pathways works in relation to this problem would be helpful. -jason ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
