I had a similar problem , it took me 2 weeks :( , there where trailing
spaces in the authmysqlrc file so i could never authenticate, i think this
issue has to be sorted out, please have a look at your authmysqlrc file and
make sure there are no trailing spaces ( abit hard to find, you might want
to get a new authmysqlrc file and edit it carefully , and also configure
your my.cnf file to log the connections to the database. Also set logging
to some of those courier-imap files i forget which ones but if you read
most of them IIRC pop3-ssl and pop3 plus imap $$ imap-ssl allow logging.
