This is because your mail program is attempting to do reverse Ident
lookups every time a client connects. Ident provides some nice
information about "who" is connecting to your mail server, but a lot of
firewalls don't consider it necessary so they block it. That's why it
just delay's everything 30 seconds while it times out.
