Hi all,

I am using Courier-IMAP 1.7.3, as supplied by debian. Since I did install courier-imap and not the complete system, I did ask this question on the courier-imap-mailinglist before. However, I now believe that it was no courier-imap-specific question (and did not trigger much interest there, by the way), I decieded to ask it here again. ;-)

I'm going to set up a new mailserver and checking out courier-imap to do the job. Works quite nice, all information are stored in my ldap-server, authentication and storage-information is retrieved without any problems.

However, I can put a "quota"-value in my ldap-directory (concluding from LDAP_MAILDIRQUOTA defined in authldaprc), which currently has no effect whatsoever. Quota settings work without any problems when setting a quota with maildirmake but the ldap-setting is ignored.

Has anybody a working setup while getting quota-information from ldap (or other sources like mysql)? Currently I just copy data from one account to another one to create data, so no mail delivery using exim is happening. Obviously this is a courier-internal problem.

I tried two accounts. The first one had a quota of 10000000S set by maildirmake, the second one did not. Both had 8000000S as LDAP-quota-value. When moving messages from my old ldap-server to the new one using mozilla, the first one still had a quota of 10MB, the second one did not have any quota at all.

When is the LDAP_MAILDIRQUOTA-value used? Perhaps it is only used when delivering mail by smtp and ignored when moving mails around using imap? Or perhaps I missed some configuration options? Or anything like that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
