Put domainx.com in esmtpacceptmailfor.
Provided that your DNS MX records are properly set up, nothing else is needed.
"Properly set up" means that the actual hostname listed in the MX record, that resolves to the backup server's IP address, is included in the locals file.
Are you sure this last one is absolutely required Sam ?
Not strictly. The alternative is to insert an entry in esmtproutes for each backup domain.
