Hi all,

I have a couple of global filters set up. They were working okay with
Courier .41, but appear to have stopped when I moved them to .42.

The first one is the Sophos AV Filter listed on the courier site. The second
one is a home brewed Spam Assassin filter which I built.

By looking at the logs, the filters are starting up okay. Mail is getting
delivered, but for some reason, it looks like Courier ESMTP is not calling
the filters when it receives mail. I traced my safilter(spam assassin
filter) all the way to the select so i'm pretty sure the filter is working
okay.

I checked the install dir and didn't see any release notes or anything
hinting that some changes between .41 and .42 may have affected the
filtering. Its almost like the filters are never getting accessed by esmtpd.
I checked the conf file in /etc (enablefiltering) and it has esmtpd as a
line in it.

I'm trying to think of some other way to track it down. Can any of you
courier gurus perhaps point me in the right direction? I sure would
appreciate it. I modeled the safilter off the sophos avfilter(after
stripping out a lot of the av stuff).

any help would be appreciated,

bill
