Yup. Like everything else it does.

Realized two things after the fact. 1) I took it off list accidentally I think. 2) My question was ambiguous.

When courier webmail does a move (or presumably anything else that uses
those libraries for dealing with Maildir's) does it do a move as an
addtional hardlink with the same (or different name) in the new folder
followed by an unlink on the old one, or does it do a copy to new file (with
new name, inode, etc.) and then unlink/rm  the original?

Webmail uses linking.
