Hi,

I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong in setting up
dot-courier files.

From what I read in the man page, courier will first look
inside $HOME for .courier files, then it will look in
etc/courier/aliasdir for .courier files.

Right, except the name of .courier files in $sysconfdir/aliasdir is not the same as the name of the .courier files in $HOME

For example, if the recipient address is user-foo, and ~user/.courier-foo does not exist, and ~user/.courier-default does not exist, then the next step is to check $sysconfir/aliasdir/.courier-user-foo, then $sysconfir/aliasdir/.courier-user-default, and finally $sysconfir/aliasdir/.courier-default.
