I'm going to take a guess... perhaps you are using virtual hosting or for some
reason the uid of the message being delivered does not have access to the directory
ABOVE the Maildir - which may in your config be the virtual HOME, which would be
referenced for .courier files etc. Without configs or more knowlege of the
structure you used though, it's hard to help
