Hello:

I'm trying to use an external filter (ravcourier) with courier 0.37.0 from the latest
stable Debian distribution with a custom 2.4.20 kernel.

The filter appears to install OK (creates a link to .../allfilters/ directory). When I
run "courierfilter start", the courierfilter daemon appears in the process list, and
the filter appears as a child, defunct process.

I get the same results with the sample filters too. I ran "filterctl start dupfilter"
and then "courierfilter start" and it too shows as a defunct process.

(The courier commands are in my path.)

Is any special configuration needed to get filters to work?
