Hello,

i'm brand-new to this list, so i hope this isn't a faq, altough i doubt
it (googling around only gave
http://www.ultraviolet.org/mail-archives/courier.2001/1893.html, and it
doesn't provide an answer).)

My problem with courier-imapd (version from debian woody) is that i
can't make it read mails from /var/maildirs/users/$USER! Dodumentation
sais that if env contains MAILDIR, it overrides the parameter given to
imapd at startup time. But it doesn't! I'm setting it with pam_env
(setting it works, i've tested it with ssh pam modules), but mails are
anyway read from $HOME/Maildir! So my last resort is posting my problem
here. Hopefully someone is able to help out, I'm lost.

(If someone asks why we don't simply use $HOME/Maildir: We can't, as
homedirectorys are mounted over NFS, and depending local Mail delivery
on a NFS Server is not a good idea in our environment!)

Hopefully someone of you is able to help me through this, i't the last
bit missing to make our new Mailserver work and I've already spent too
much time in it.

Yours,
Karsten

PS: We are using postfix and courier-imap directly from Debian woody.
