The bastards at Verisign are now typo-squatting for all .net domains (and soon for .com's as well, no doubt about it) by serving a wildcard A record for .net

Meaning that all mail servers that now check for a resolvable return address domain (the BOFHCHECKDNS environment variable set in smtpaccess) will now think that @anything.net is a valid return address.

For Courier, the solution is simple. For now, put

badmx 64.94.110.11

Into the bofh file.
