I tried this, and it seems to work for accounts in /etc/passwd, but NOT for
virtual accounts using postgresql authentication.

Just a guess: configure postgresql so that it performs case insensitive matches on text fields (I don't know how to do this with postresql, but it should be possibile since most DBMS allow this).

I did some more testing and now it appear to work perfectly with just the locallowercase file.



When I first created that file I sent two test mails: one to a user in /etc/passwd and one to a user in postgresql. The first worked and the second arrived to the alias user.



Now I retried this test and now both messages worked. Perhaps courier needed to restart for this to work?
