Hello,

Because of 4 GByte Viruses in the Last 9 Days I am missing some Mails...

So again:

I have a central Fileserver (nfs/samba/netatalk) which collect mails for
37 $USERS with mailfilter, fetchmail and procmail.

All mails from all Servers and Workstations are relayed on this Machine
with exim.

Now I like to change the System to courier-* because I like it compact.

First: I have tried to install this:

fetchmail, courier-maildrop

Problem Fetchamail get the mail corectly but it gies Errors with
courier-maildrop...

Does not find any Mailboxes...

Second: courier-mta

courier tries to send Mails directly to the A/MX Records of a Domain,
which bounce all Messages because I am on a Dialup. I have changed the
file /etc/courier/esmtproutes and have added following:

:smtp.wanadoo.fr

because in the manpages it was writen, if the <domain> is empty, all
messages will be sent via the <relay>. It does not work, it sends only
to A and MX records. Now I have changed:

freenet.de: smtp.wanadoo.fr
wanadoo.fr: smtp.wanadoo.fr
debian.org: smtp.wanadoo.fr
: smtp.wanadoo.fr

And ALL mails with <domain> are send corectly via the SMTP-Relay.

But all others are with A/MX record which give me a couple of errors.

Can anyone enlight me whats false ???

If it is runing, I like to install courier-imap so all users can access
there Maildir without nfs/samba/netatalk.

And the next one is courier-mlm for each user. But this later.

Greetings from Strasbourg
Michelle
