Hi,

I'm having a problem with esmtp authentication.

I use mysqlauth, and I'm able to use smtp authentication
fine for some users, yet it fails for other users. I don't
quite know the reason for that.

I do know, however, that when I check the mysql log for
select clauses, the select clause for the user that fails
checks out fine, meaning it returns all of the necessary
information, including the correct password. However, the
authentication fails, Outlook 2002 shows this error:

Task 'mail1.americasnet.com - Sending' reported error
(0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login.
Verify your user name and password in your account
properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.'

Is there any correlation with esmtp auth and the
hosteddomains/acceptmailfor/locals files?
I ask because the user for which esmtp auth works, has a
domain part which is in hosteddomains as well as
acceptmailfor. But the domain for the user where auth fails,
is not in either file. I didn't think it had to be there
because this is for outbound mail service, not inbound.

Any clues? Please help!
