I'm trying to get a simple mail system up consisting of procmail, postfix and courier IMAP. Using mutt as my mail client.
I currently use the combination with mbox. At first I thought this was a mutt problem but having tried several of the different combinations in .muttrc, I've found on the list such as - set folder="~/Maildir" set mbox_type=Maildir set mask= !^[a-z] I tried - ~$ telnet localhost imap Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. * OK Courier-IMAP ready. Copyright 1998-2002 Double Precision, Inc. Here is the ls output of the directory showing 3 mails - [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Maildir$ ls .openbsd/ courierimapuiddb cur maildirfolder msg.OFoB msg.nFoB msg.rFoB new tmp The perms of the directories and mails of both folders are the same. I created another folder "INBOX.sent" that I can read email from. The mail going into the INBOX.openbsd folder has been sorted by procmail so that might be the culprit but I don't know how. Here is my .procmailrc PATH=/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/bin MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir DEFAULT=$MAILDIR/new MAILLISTFOLDER=$MAILDIR/ PMDIR=/tmp/procmail LOGFILE=/var/log/procmail :0: * (^TO|^CC*)[EMAIL PROTECTED] $MAILLISTFOLDER.openbsd The relevant packages on debian 3.0- # dpkg -l|grep courier courier-authda 0.37.3-2.3 Courier Mail Server authentication daemon courier-base 0.37.3-2.3 Courier Mail Server Base System courier-imap 1.4.3-2.3 IMAP daemon with PAM and Maildir support nixnotes:/etc/courier# dpkg -l|grep procmail procmail 3.22-4 Versatile e-mail processor. nixnotes:/etc/courier# dpkg -l|grep postfix postfix 1.1.11-0.woody A high-performance mail transport agent postfix-ldap 1.1.11-0.woody LDAP map support for Postfix postfix-pcre 1.1.11-0.woody PCRE map support for Postfix Anyone know what is going on?
