Dang, I will submit to the ritual of humiliation: RTFMAAA... (RTFM again,
and again...) :)

That has fixed the courierauthtest, I am now able to authenticate correctly
into all of the appropriate services. I'm still receiving the user unknown
error, but there were some threads that dealt specifically with this issue.
I'll report back with what I find.
