I have not had any trouble at all using the IMAP-SSL service over port 993 but I'm experiencing some problems with ESMTP-SSL on 465....
It is also possible that this is a client issue, since I'm using the IMAP functionality from within Mozilla.
It's a client issue. Mozilla ONLY does SSL using the STARTTLS command. Connect to the standart port (25) or to the MSA port (587).
