My question is:-
What accounts does Courier authenticate through the pam.d/courier module?
Nothing gets authenticated through pam.d/courier.
Courier uses only the following pam services: imap, imaps, pop3, pop3s, webmail, and smtp.
Will it only authenticate mail accounts for SMTP or does it authenticate itself to a system account this way? If so, which accounts?
An SMTP authentication request will use the same login id and password as specified in the authentication request.
