Hello out there, I've posted this already last week but didn't get an answer. So I try again :-)

You are lucky. This seldom works...

I'm thinking about integrating amavisd-new with courier-mta. My idea is to have two instances of courier esmtpd running on same host. Both instances must have their own configuration.

You can do it - diferent configurations - using esmtpd and esmtpd-msa.

One is just receiving and forwarding mail to amavisd-new.
The second is receiving mail from amavisd-new and delivers locally or to the internet.

I believe this kind of per-esmtpd-server-configuration isn't possible.

I neither want amavisd-new to receive mail directly nor to let it deliver mail directly.

That's a wise approach, I've been told.

I have amavisd-new working with courier. Mail is being redirected to
amavisd-new by my maildroprc filter the first time mail passes
maildroprc. The second time it actually goes to final destination.

As I'm using maildroprc, only local domains get their messages scanned.
This is the best I could come up with.

Please post your findings,

Rodrigo
