I see that the SF page for 2.2.0 says "All users of 2.x are encouraged to
upgrade to this release." I searched the list archives, change log, etc. but didn't see any indication of whether all users of 1.7.3 are similarly
encouraged. :-) Which is considered the "stable/production" version at
this point? Thanks.
Although 1.7.3 does have bugs that were later fixed, they are not considered critical.
You can read through the current Changelog, and decide for yourself.
