Ok, courier 44.2 is builded and installed on RedHat Advances Server AS:

Prcodedure is: extract courier.spec, rem two lines:
#BuildPreReq: openssl-perl
#BuildPreReq: mgetty-sendfax

... copy c_rehash from RedHat 8.0 to /usr/bin and run:
# rpmbuild -ba rpm/SPECS/courier.spec

The result is:

courier-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-debuginfo-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-fax-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-imapd-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-ldap-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-maildrop-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-maildrop-wrapper-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-mlm-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-mysql-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-pgsql-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-pop3d-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-smtpauth-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-webadmin-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm
courier-webmail-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm

I see a new rpm 'courier-debuginfo-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm'. This is never builded on RedHat 8.0.

# service courier restart
Stopping Courier mail server: imapd imapd-ssl esmtpd-ssl esmtpd-msa esmtpd pop3d pop3d-ssl courierd webmail pcpd authdaemond courierfilter
Starting Courier mail server: courierfilter authdaemond webmail courierd pop3d generating-POP3-SSL-certificate... pop3d-ssl imapd generating-IMAP-SSL-certificate... imapd-ssl

Courier is up and running.... Now will test.

Any comments Sam?

1) So Red Hat repackaged some stuff for AS, not a major issue

2) You should not have had to copy c_rehash from 8.0. It should be in some package, somewhere.

I install everything from AS cd's, run updatedb, and try to locate c_rehash.. No such file.

Test is ok, I replace production server with this one via dns change. User directories are mapped via NFS. 1000+ users, 8.5G total emails, imapd and imapd-ssl work fine for 12+ hours.

courierfax is not tested.

Why there is this 'courier-debuginfo-0.44.2-1.3AS.i386.rpm'?
