I took the liberty of attaching 3 REALLY simple scripts to make adding
and removing users easy.

The idea is that I taught one of our administrative assistants
(secretary) to log in to the mail server and type "ncuser
[EMAIL PROTECTED]" for new users, "ncpass [EMAIL PROTECTED]" to reset a
password and "dcuser [EMAIL PROTECTED]" to remove a user.

The delete courier user (dcuser) script first zips up the email. These
scripts have some assumptions:

All users are virtual. All mail is owned by the same account. All mail
is in /usr/mail/<email address>/Maildir. These three assumptions would
be very easy to program out of the script, but I had no reason to do so.

This uses userdb for authentication. It has worked really well here,
but your mileage may vary. I hope these help you. If you have any
question, please don't hesitate to ask.

Subject: [courier-users] setting up courier questions

I am using courier as an MTA for quite a while now. Works nicely!

Now a friend got himself one of this root servers and I suggested to him
to
use courier for his pop3 boxes and for everything else.

I am looking for an easy method for him to create users on his box. He
just
needs virtual mail users, that do nothing else but mail.
I don't think that can be done with webadmin or?

Plus, anyone knows a german howto? His english is not too good.
