No matter how much I THINK I know about sometimes I always find out how naive I am
about something else. Makes perfect sense - I was just copying that from the start up
courier tests - seemed like a useful way to find out some information. So would a
better way to do this be with backticks? inside an exception block to eat the error
and allow mail delivery in case of failure?

}
