When sending an outgoing email with Courier 0.44.2 (as well as 0.44.0) the destination SMTP server returns an error about how courier is formatting the HELO command. The string after HELO gets garbled and the destination SMTP server doesn't get the mail. The domain name of the courier server is also garbled. Here's an example:

from domain.com ([::ffff:<ip address>])
