Oh, you mean the one whose default settings automatically reconfigure the user's PC into an anonymous spam relay?

Oh, _that_ analogxâ

while before, but now it does not work. When they don't use the proxy it
works fine. I can see some connection attempts in the log that go no
further (there are no LOGIN or LOGOUT in the logfile after these entries).

So I now have a couple of questions.

Are there any known issues with analogx and courier's pop3?

There are DEFINITELY known issues with analogx. Like the fact that it's author is long overdue for a good smack upside the head.

Furthermore, you realize that Courier's default configuration accept only a
maximum of five connections from the same IP address. This has obvious
implications for any âconnection sharingâ proxy that you can easily conclude
all by yourself.

Also, could someone please tell me what these two items mean in pop3d log?
top=0, retr=0

I only ask this one because sometimes retr seems quite high, but for the
most part is 0.

Number of bytes downloading by their corresponding POP3 commands. In the event you'd like to charge your users by amount of bytes transferred.
