I installed courier from the gentoo portage system when I reinstalled my server, stopping by to patch it for reiserfs.
Earlier today courierd started crashing with error 127. After poking around a lot, deleting files I shouldn't etc, I discovered I had an empty backuprelay file. Removing this solved all the problems.
Now I'm wondering where this came from, it obviously wasn't there earlier. I guess it must have turned up from an emerge somewhere along the line.
Secondly, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wasn't working. I had to specify an email address as the alias, not a local user. Before I reinstalled this was fine, and it's the same version of courier...
Unless gentoo applies weird patches, this confuses me completely...
