I'm not following here... I want the username-* functionality, but I was
looking for a way to configure it per account (for those who want it)
without having to set up home directories (which some of my users have, but
not all) just to create an empty .courier-default file...

The authentication database currently uses hosteddomains for all of their
domains - and the full email address is in mysql
