if esmtpd receives email for a server - and can also act as a smtp server for email clients - how does it handle authentication and accepted domains etc.
i.e. - if the esmtpdacceptmailfor file contains a limited list of domains - how does it allow client email programs to send email to anywhere on the internet?
Connecting E-mail clients that succesfully authenticate, by providing a valid userid and password, will receive relaying privileges, and may submit mail addressed to any recipient address.
Alternatively, clients with fixed IP addresses may have their IP addresses configured to allow relaying privileges. See the makesmtpaccess man page.
