I asked this question on the Amavis list, but didn't receive any
answers. I'm asking it here in the hope that maybe this is a
Courier-specific problem.
I'm running Courier-0.45.0 with Amavisd-new-20030616-p8 and Clamd-0.68-1
on RedHat Fedora Core 1. I configured Amavis as a courierfilter
following the instructions in the tarball.
It works most of the time. It passes normal mail and rejects viruses
(plain and inside zip files), but when I try to send a zip file with any
encrypted content, the message is rejected and I get this error in my
maillog:
Mar 25 10:20:28 bnofmail2 amavis[5578]: (5578-1) TROUBLE in
check_mail: virus_scan FAILED: Can't create hard link
/home/vscan/amavis-20040325T102028-05578/email.txt: No such file or
directory at /usr/local/sbin/amavisd line 5410.
I can't seem to find any permission problems. Does anyone have any idea
what might be causing this?
Any general suggestions on getting Amavisd-new to play nice with
Courier?
Thanks,
Bowie
