I am planning on migrating from UW IMAP to courier, mostly for LDAP compatibility reasons. I have it working with the authldap stuff,
but I have a question.

I am used to mbox style mailboxes in /var/spool/mail. Courier likes the Maildir format stored in the users' home directory.

How do I configure it so that mail will get delivered to a certain directory, say /MAIL/$USER ?

Is this possible? I've tried changing the variables DEFAULTDELIVERY and MAILDROPDEFAULT to where I want the mail to go, but that doesn't work. The logs say "chdir Maildir: No such file or Directory" Obviously, I'm missing something, I created the maildir with maildirmake and it has the right permissions.

I also read something about courier using the LDAP varaible "mail" and ignoring everything else.

Please help!

Thanks
