I tried to send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] but exactly at that moment hisCourier is just doing what it is told. Something is telling Courier the wrong thing. Status 550 is a permanent failure, as is everything in 5xx.
mailbox went down for 5 minutes, so he didn't receive my message.
When I looked into courier log I saw this line:
...addr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: 550 5.7.1 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Relaying denied
...addr=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, status: failure
Is there any way to set courier to try to send mail if recepeint is down for
some period?
If the failure was temporary (e.g. with a 4xx status failure, or through an unreachable machine) then courier would retry.
So the next question is, which machine is telling courier the 550 error, and why does courier think that that machine is worth trying?
