That's the way it's set up.  Any domain in the "locals" file means that the 
user logs in as "user", not "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".  So regardless of the user's 
actual email address, the login is always just "user".  If you want folks to 
login as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" then you need to put "domain" in the hosteddomains 
file.
