I'm still having the following problem, amavisd-new is
not able to start up as a courier-filter. I'm running Courer 0.45.4, Amavisd-new
20030616.p9, FreeBSD 4.9-p5 and Perl 5.8.2.
This is in the Amavisd-new

I cannot figure out what the problem is, except that
Amavsid-new is trying to chown when not root. Is there anyone who's running
FreeBSD, Amavisd-new and Courier succesfully? Anyone got a clue what could be
the problem here?

keep gettng file permission errors. It looks like Perl and not Amavisd-new is
causing there problems, but I'm not sure....
