Hi,
Kudos to MrSam, et al. ---> Great work, appreciated by millions, no doubt.
With success, I used the following how-to (and a bit of support from Google):
<http://kirb.insanegenius.net/postfix.html>
So, I've been searching for info now on proper SMTP auth configuration for my
virtual mailboxes; Specifically, I need to get SASL properly querying mysql,
but I've had mixed results... only locals are working right now, as is.
Can someone point me to a suggested primer on this? I've been through postfix
docmentation and understand the fourth party relationship with saslauthd, but
I think I need a better check list for sanity before I start sending
under-educated questions.
My environment is:
Fedora
courier-imap-3.0.3
postfix-2.0.11
mysql-3.23.58
saslauthd 2.1.15
[authentication mechanisms: getpwent kerberos5 pam rimap shadow]
Thanks links and suggestions.
Bryan
