Sam, hi.
Â
I'm getting ready to step up to 0.45.5 from 0.42.2 and using Mandrake.
Â
The last time I built the RPM I had to edit the spec file to change
netpbm-progs to netpbm which was the only package that I could find
available on Mandrake.
It didn't cause problems when compiling and since I wasn't going to use
that part anyway I didn't give much more thought to the matter.
Â
Now I've noticed that the situation is still the same. I've noticed that
within the spec file you have some tests if we're building for Mandrake or
Redhat. Does this mean that the package is/should be netpbm-progs on
Mandrake or is it something that needs a little correction in the spec
file that just hasn't boiled up to it's turn yet.

It probably needs to be fixed in the spec file. I don't know, since I don't run Mandrake.
