I'm getting the following error for AFAIK just one user. All other
20,000+ accounts are working.
courierpop3login: chdir: No such file or directory
I've checked the Maildir and it looks good. I can su to the mail user,
cd to the mail directory and play with the files. I've tried recreating
the Maildir but no change. If I leave the account alone for long enough
that mail arrives, Exim will automatically create the directory as well.
That still doesn't seem to work.
The user's home directory is stored in LDAP. I've changed it to
different directories, moved the original Maildir to a new name and
changed to that, deleted the entry and recreated it. I have compared it
to other users' configurations and see no differences other than the
different names.
The user does have two accounts in LDAP, one for mail and one for
radius. They are under separate ous (ou=imap, ou=Radius) and courier is
quite specifically pointed to ou=imap. It shouldn't be pulling that data
in, but I can't be 100% certain of that.
This error seems to only occur if the Maildir can't be accessed, but it
seems configured properly. Are there any other circumstances where
courier would give this error? Is there a way to make courier spit out
more detailed information such as *which* directory doesn't exist, or
where it got the directory from?
