You probably have a .courier file that contains some whitespace.  Courier
is very diligent about throwing away your mail without warning (never to
be seen again) under such circumstances.

If you make the slight error of having e.g. an empty return in your
.courier file, as opposed to 0 bytes long, you are punished this way.
