Hey folks, I'm attempting to switch from Sendmail , UW-Imap (only supporting pop) to Postfix and Courier. The reasons are to provide Imap with a quota system and to have virtual users rather than linux users, as on my other system. I support about 1200 users.

The platform I'll be using is RH Enterprise 3.0

I'm reading all that I can and wonder if you might help with a couple of questions: Once I have this running...

How do you "batch" in a few hundred users? (on my other system we wrote a C program to create the accounts and set the password)

I read that I can use LDap or MySql to hold the usernames and passwords - is one easier than the other to administer? Or some obvious advantages? (I've never used either for anything and am clueless about both of them. My only database experience is with Access)

Do any of you have HowTo's that aren't on Google you would be willing to share?

Thanks,
Norm
