My config files are in /usr/local/etc I followed the freebsd convention
when I built and installed from the tarball. In hindsight, I probably
should have done /usr/local/etc/courier (and will probably try to do that
in the future). But /usr/local/etc is the spot where my config files
currently reside.

Not a big deal for me if you prefer not to include my config in your
script. I'll get by.

by the by, I very much like your proposed new auth set-up. Thanks.
