Looks as if AuthCourier::getpwnam() is somehow returning an empty or non
numeric uid. What type of authdaemon authentication are you using ?

will not solve your problem, but using spamassassin 2.64 with courier
0.46 our maildroprc only contains

According to the spamc manpage the -u option has been "semi-obsoleted".
spamc will automatically use per-user-config files when run with the
userid of the local recipient and I think maildrop does so.
