If this directory is supposed to be the main maildir directory, it should not have the maildirfolder file.
If this is a maildir folder, then the .squirrelmail* files would be ignored.
[12:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:[/usr/local/vpopmail/domains/wingnet.net/jesse/.maildir]# ls -al .Personal.Mailing\ Lists.squirrelmail/squirrelmail/
And the squirrelmail subdirectory would be ignored in either case.
