Hi,

I am running courier-mta 0.45 on fedora core 1. I built the install into
rpms and installed from those. It was incredibly easy and I have been
running with courier-mta, fetchmail and courier pop for ages now. thanks
so much for this fab app.

I recently installed spamassassin, and just can't seem to get them to
co-operate. An strace of spamd seems to want to find the authdaemon
socket in /var/run/courier/authdaemon, but in fact it is in
/var/spool/courier/daemon. I had a look in authdaemonrc and
authdeamonvar is indeed pointing to /var/spool/courier/authdaemon.

>From strace of spamd process:
[pid 10137] _llseek(5, 0, 0xbfed6f50, SEEK_CUR) = -1 ESPIPE (Illegal
seek)
[pid 10137] fcntl64(5, F_SETFD, FD_CLOEXEC) = 0
[pid 10137] connect(5, {sa_family=AF_FILE,
path="/var/run/courier/authdaemon/socket"}, 110) = -1 ENOENT (No such
file or directory)
[pid 10137] close(5) = 0
[pid 10137] write(2, "authdaemond socket error: No suc"..., 52) = 52
[pid 10137] close(8 <unfinished ...>

how can I tell spamd to look in a different place? I checked out the
perl script and it seems to read it in as part of the courier config

Thanks, Gb
