I am sorry that I did not read first the manpage for maildrop. In that file it is said that if one have etc/maildroprc then that is the file for filtering. If it does not exists then $HOME/.mailfilter is considered.
Now I face other problem then. How can I make that both files be read, first maildroprc and then .mailfilter?

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

Following a suggestion from someone on this list I am trying to
make that a user account replies an automatic response to the sender by
using $HOME/.mailfilter file, following an example on maildropex man
page. However this file seems to be ignored by courier, does somebody
has an idea why? I am using courier 0.43.1 on a RH linux 9. I just have
one special configuration which is on the $COURIER_PATH/etc/maildroprc
for executing dspam.

Thanks in advance,

---sram
