Ahh, never mind, I just found this in the courier-users mailing list archive:
...It looks like your box"s hostname is set to "lurch", which is not an FQDN. Whenever you configure a box without an FQDN as its hostname, you"re going to have to explicitly tell the MTA what the FQDN is. In your case, you"ll probably want to put "binarymagi.com" in the file /etc/courier/defaultdomain. I don"t remember if you have to restart courier afterward... Sorry for not RTFMing.
