Ah!  Thanks, Alexei, I knew I'd seen a patch to add a blank line,
but had mis-remembered it as being a patch to the esmtp side, not
just the POP3 delivery side (which is, in my view, a cleaner approach).

Indeed, is there any reason why this simply can't go into the main upstream courier code ?

It's a hack. All messages will now have a mysterious blank line appended to them. Most people will probably never notice, but it doesn't feel right.
