Yes, your max # of incoming connections is 40, and you're bumping up to the limit.


Also, I've noticed that since upgrading to 0.47 the teergrube works a little different. With 0.45.4, I think that the 8 second delay didn't kick in until after the first 5xx response, and I'm almost certain that it didn't kick in at all if you were sending from an authenticated client (I would test sending myself viruses occasionally and never saw the 8 second delay -- now with 0.47 I see it immediately).

The delay is the same. The only difference is that courieresmtpd sleeps before the error message is returned, instead of after.

With 0.45.4 any command after the first 5xx response is delayed. But unless you manage to type one in within 8 seconds, you won't see the delay.
